Arianna Michelle Martinez is a very determined and independent young woman. Arianna played volleyball until her Junior year. She then became a Student Athletic Trainer, working with Los Alamos High School teacher Mick Matuszak for all sports programs. In the summer of 2022, Arianna was selected to attend a 2-week curriculum at the University of California Los Angeles through the National Youth Leadership Forum in Medicine. It was at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in West Hollywood, California that she began learning about nursing. She had a real-life, hands-on experience that further peaked her interest in pursuing nursing. However, she has always been the kind of young woman that would care for others that couldn’t care for themselves including her ailing grandmother. It is that caring and genuine spirit coupled with academic success that has led her to pursue Nursing at New Mexico State University to begin her career to become a travel Neonatal Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit following her graduation from Los Alamos High School.
