Los Alamos resident and Artist/Photographer Terrance Haanen has only been photographing since he relocated from St. Paul, MN in 2021.  A brain tumor survivor with subsequent neurological damage and having a love for New Mexico since childhood, Haanen relocated to Los Alamos in search of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual healing.  During this search he has reinvented himself and developed a love of photography.

Maintaining a creative lifestyle has always been important to Haanen and his photography has ignited a passion for art he has not felt in years. 

In the past year the Los Alamos Reporter has published many of his photographs.  His efforts have resulted in the creation of a 2024 calendar that features some of the highlights of his fledgling photo graphic career.

Haanen will be selling his calendars along with individual matted prints in various sizes at the Los Alamos Arts Council Summer Arts & Crafts Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 12 on the Fuller Lodge Lawn.
