NMDOT NEWS RELEASE

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) and Hasse Contracting Company Inc. will begin a bridge repair project at mile marker 208 on U.S. 84 in Abiquiu. This project will consist of structural repairs and modifications, concrete drainage installation, concrete wall barrier installation, and new guardrail installations. 

Starting August 14, the highway will be reduced to one lane northbound and southbound throughout the construction zone. Working hours will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. All lanes will be reopened by the end of the workday and all traffic control devices will be removed from the roadway. 

Drivers are urged to watch out for workers in the area, observe traffic control signs and reduce speed to the posted speed limit.  Updates on this project will be posted on the New Mexico Department of Transportation’s road advisory website, http://nmroads.com/.
