SALA Los Alamos Event Center, is delighted to announce a lineup of exhilarating events and programs taking place this week. With an array of exciting activities catering to various interests, SALA has something in store for everyone in the community.
Kicking off on Wednesday, June 7, SALA presents the After-School program from 1pm to 5pm and After-Work from 5pm to 9pm. These programs are designed to provide an entertaining experience for friends to enjoy together. Attendees can immerse themselves in different activities, like arcade games, Nintendo on the big screen, VR headsets or just hanging out. The entrance fee for these programs is a mere $10 per person, making it an affordable way to have a fantastic time.
On Thursday, June 8, SALA invites movie enthusiasts to join them for a special screening of “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse” at 3 pm and 6 pm. As part of the Parallel Cinema program with the theme “Posthuman,” the event will also feature the renowned 1995 Japanese movie “Ghost in the Shell.” Thanks to the sponsorship of Compa Industries, admission to this event is entirely free.
Friday, June 9, brings another opportunity to enjoy “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse” at 3 pm and 6 pm. In addition to the film screenings, SALA will host the Friday Night After Party, a lively gathering where attendees can dance and showcase their singing talent through karaoke.
Continuing the entertainment streak, SALA’s Classics program themed “AI explorations” presents “Ex Machina” on Saturday, June 10, at 6 pm. For those who can’t get enough of “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse,” additional showings are scheduled at 3 pm and 6 pm on the same day.
Wrapping up the week with a bang, Sunday, June 11, offers more opportunities to catch “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse” at 3 pm and 6 pm. But that’s not all! SALA has prepared a special event, “Willie Nelson 90,” where fans can relive or experience for the first time the extraordinary interpretations of many classics from the Willie Nelson songbook. The two-hour-plus limited release film showcases unforgettable collaborations, surprise appearances, music royalty, and, of course, the legendary man himself. Don’t miss the chance to be part of the Willie Nelson experience and witness it on the grand scale of the big screen!
