COUNTY NEWS RELEASE
Los Alamos County Parks Division has contracted with Hellas Construction to resurface eight tennis courts and two pickleball courts across the county this summer as part of ongoing maintenance. The project was delayed due to the unusually cold spring weather. Work has been rescheduled to begin June 19.
The courts are scheduled to be resurfaced as follows, weather permitting:
- Rover Park Tennis Courts (2) – June 19-23,
- Piñon Park Tennis Courts (3) – June 26-30,
- Myrtle Park Pickleball Courts (2) – July 3-7, and
- Barranca Mesa Park Tennis Courts (3) – July 10-14.
The contractor anticipates project completion by July 14.
Signs will be posted at each site one week before resurfacing begins providing detailed court schedules, as well as alternate play locations available during the resurfacing project. The courts will remain closed for 7-10 days to allow the resurfacing product to cure.
Visit the County’s Parks web page for information about Los Alamos County tennis courts, where they are located, and to reserve a court. Visit the pickleball web page to get plugged in and learn more about where to play.
