LAPD NEWS RELEASE

The Los Alamos Police Department Criminal Investigations Section is currently investigating a criminal sexual abuse case involving a child under the age of 13 years that occurred at the Little Forest Playschool in Los Alamos.

LAPD Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for 19-year-old William Louis Macinnes, a Los Alamos resident.

William Louis Macinnes is being held in the Los Alamos County Detention Center on the following charges;

COUNT 1: Criminal sexual contact of a minor

COUNT 2: Criminal sexual contact of a minor

COUNT 3: CRIMINAL SEXUAL PENETRATION (1^st Degree)

COUNT 4: CRIMINAL SEXUAL PENETRATION (1^st Degree)

Macinnes is employed with the Little Forest Playschool School.  Detectives have been working with the staff at the Little Forest Playschool and state authorities.  The Los Alamos Police Department asks the parents of children who attend the Little Forest Playschool to report any suspicious behavior to the Los Alamos Police Investigations Section at (505) 662-8282 or call the Los Alamos Dispatch Center at (505) 662-8222.

“The safety and security of the children in our community is paramount; we will continue to investigate this incident to ensure child welfare,” said Deputy Chief Oliver Morris late Friday afternoon.
