Family Strengths Network Offers June 18 Class On Becoming A Big Sibling

FSN NEWS RELEASE

Family Strengths Network is offering a class from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, June 18 called “Becoming a Big Sibling: Preparing for the Addition of a New Sibling”.

Are you expecting and nervous to introduce your child to their new sibling? Perhaps you aren’t sure how your child will feel about having a new little brother or sister in the mix.

Join Los Alamos Medical Center’s Childbirth Educator to help prepare both you and your children to bring home the new baby. This class is for the whole family and will use activities, stories, and art to help get everyone excited about the new baby.

Facilitator Gretchen Poulson is a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator and the mother of 4 young children. With a bachelor’s degree in Public Health, she loves the science behind why things happen and was drawn to Lamaze because of their evidence-based practices. Gretchen has a passion for teaching parents about all things relating to childbirth, and also how to advocate for their wants and needs during labor and delivery. When not teaching classes, you will find her running kids around town, perusing Pinterest for dinner ideas, or attempting to get caught up on sleep.

Cost of the class is $35/family, scholarships available. Email fsn@lafsn.org to inquire. Register at https://www.lafsn.org/calendar/becoming-a-big-sibling
