Lauren Palermo, 25, of Los Alamos is slated to appear Thursday via Zoom before Los Alamos Municipal Judge Elizabeth Allen on two counts of battery in connection with an incident at an Aug. 30 Black Lives Matter protest at Ashley Pond Park.

Palermo was originally cited for one count of battery on a woman in the parking lot next to the park, however, an amended criminal complaint was later filed by Los Alamos Police Department noting a second count of battery against a man from the same incident.
