NM 502 (Trinity Drive) eastbound and westbound traffic is shifted to the south side of NM 502 (Trinity Drive) for the section of roadway between Arroyo Lane and east of Tewa Loop with one lane of travel in each direction.

Access to Tewa Loop from NM502 is CLOSED. Motorists should detour at Airport Road to access Tewa Loop.

Access to businesses and buildings or parks located on the north side of NM502 is being maintained.

The closure is necessary for the installation of an electrical vault and extension of the waterline and fiber optics line. The work is planned to be completed by Oct. 18 weather permitting.

The current detours between Knecht Street and Central Avenue are the same: East-bound NM502 traffic detours onto 4th Street and Central Avenue. After a full stop, motorists turn right (east) and travel through the construction zone to continue east-bound out of Los Alamos on NM502. West-bound NM502 traffic entering Los Alamos and approaching the roundabout construction zone detours onto Central Avenue then west to Knecht Street then left to return to Trinity Drive.

Project hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please slow down, use caution and expect delays in this area, especially during peak commute times.
