I write to urge your readers to vote for Jeff Casalina for Assessor.
For the first time, Los Alamos is fortunate to have a candidate who actually has professional
qualifications for the job: he was a professional appraiser for 20 years. He worked for the Department of Energy in facilities management at the lab before retiring in 2018.
When I was elected Assessor in 2022, I was surprised – and pleased – to learn that character of the Assessor’s office has evolved considerably since I held the job from 1991 through 1994. Thirty three Assessor’s offices across the state are collaborating and cooperating with the Property Tax Division to meet new challenges as the business of valuation of property for tax purposes evolves. The time commitment and training necessary to run this office are considerable, and Jeff has the qualifications and experience to do an outstanding job.
Please vote for Jeff Casalina for Assessor – and vote early if possible.
