Los Alamos
David Hampton doesn’t need to be a county councilor to be a public servant. He already is.
I’ve had the privilege of working closely with David Hampton on the Strategy & Event Steering Team for the Democratic Party of Los Alamos County, and I can say without hesitation that he’s exactly the kind of person we need on County Council.
David isn’t someone who simply lends his name to an organization or occupies a seat at the table. He’s the backbone of the organizations he supports. He brings thoughtful perspectives, sage insights, and a willingness to roll up his sleeves and actually do the work, whatever needs to be done. He’s not interested in recognition. He’s focused on results.
His record speaks for itself.
David currently serves on the Planning and Zoning Commission, Transportation Board, Personnel Board, Environmental Sustainability Board, UNM–Los Alamos Advisory Board, and Los Amigos del Rancho Los Luceros. Previously, he served on the Parks and Recreation Board, Board of Registration, Los Alamos Co-op Market Board, Los Alamos Arts Council Board, and Los Alamos Retirement Community Board.
That’s not a résumé built for a campaign. That’s a history of sustained, meaningful service to our community.
David’s campaign hasn’t been flashy. He’s not throwing money at free movie nights or extravagant events to get your attention. He doesn’t need to. He’s doing what he’s always done: showing up, listening, and getting the job done.
There’s a good chance David has knocked on your door. Not because he wants you to know who he is, but because he wants to know who you are, what matters to you, and what problems he can help solve.
That’s what public service is supposed to look like.
David doesn’t need a seat on County Council to make a difference in Los Alamos. He’s been strengthening our community for years. Now, just imagine what we can accomplish with his dedication, integrity, and steady leadership at the table.
I strongly endorse David Hampton for Los Alamos County Council.
