WRBC NEWS RELEASE

White Rock Baptist Church will host its 19th annual Trunk orTreat and Fall Festival on Halloween from 5 to 8 p.m. at 80 State Rd. 4.

The free public event offers a compact, pedestrian-friendly alternative to traditional trick-or-treating. Church members will park in the lot, decorate their vehicles, and distribute candy from their trunks.

“It’s a safe, contained place for families,” said Pastor Marshall Cook. “I love that people with little legs don’t have to walk six or seven blocks to get candy, and everyone can be home by bedtime.”

Inside the church, the Fall Festival features free hot dogs, popcorn, hot chocolate, carnival games, and crafts. Seating areas will be available indoors and outdoors for parents to socialize.

Attendees are also encouraged to bring cereal donations for local food pantry LA Cares. The drive brought in 167 boxes last year.

“Fun cereal is sometimes a luxury that families cannot afford,” said Children’s Ministry Coordinator Megan Cunningham. “For the kids, it’s a fun treat when they can pick out a box of Fruit Loops or Golden Grahams.”
