Indivisible Los Alamos To Host Non-Partisan Rally Saturday At Ashley Pond Park

Indivisible Los Alamos

From 1 to 3 p.m., this Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, Indivisible Los Alamos will host a non-partisan rally, “No Kings: Vote Early”, at Ashley Pond to celebrate our “voting power” and prepare to respond firmly if anyone uses unlawful government power to interfere with the midterm elections.

Indivisible is a nationwide movement of millions of people working to stop the rise of authoritarianism in the US and to demand a real democracy. We believe that politics is too important to leave up to the politicians – it requires all of us to get on the field.

There will be speakers at Ashley Pond beginning at 1 p.m. Afterwards, we will march down Central Avenue to the Los Alamos County Municipal building, where eligible voters can take advantage of New Mexico’s first day of expanded early voting and make their voices heard.

Signs that address your concerns with current political issues are welcome, but please do not carry signs explicitly supporting or opposing a specific Party or candidate. If you chose to bring a sign, we ask that you leave it outside the voting area (no political signs, attire, or other electioneering activities are allowed within 100 feet of the Municipal building during voting hours). We will provide a ‘sign check’ near the Co-op park for this purpose.

A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. No weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.

Your vote can help choose our future! Hope to see you there.
