YMCA NEWS RELEASE
Local artists, makers, crafters, nonprofits and small businesses are invited to register beginning October 1 for The Family YMCA’s annual Winter Vendor Market, returning as part of Los Alamos WinterFest.
This year’s event marks an exciting new partnership between The Family YMCA and Los Alamos MainStreet to expand shopping opportunities throughout downtown Los Alamos.
For years, the YMCA’s gym has been filled to capacity with approximately 30 vendors. As interest has continued to grow, the two organizations are working together to create additional vendor opportunities at satellite locations hosted by downtown businesses, allowing even more local entrepreneurs and artisans to participate in one of Northern New Mexico’s most anticipated holiday celebrations.
“Every year we’re amazed by the incredible talent in our community,” said Veronika Magnelind, Director of Stewardship & Communication at The Family YMCA. “The Winter Vendor Market has become a holiday tradition where people discover unique gifts, support local businesses, and enjoy spending time together. By partnering with Los Alamos MainStreet, we’re able to welcome even more vendors and create an even larger community shopping experience.”
Held during WinterFest, the Winter Vendor Market draws hundreds of shoppers throughout the day before many continue downtown to enjoy the annual Light Parade and the lighting of Ashley Pond, which brings thousands of visitors to the heart of Los Alamos.
Whether you create, craft, bake, build, write, design, grow, or sell, we’d love to have you join us. The Winter Vendor Market welcomes artists, makers, authors, local businesses, nonprofits, food vendors, and entrepreneurs of all kinds. If you have something unique to share with our community, there’s a place for you at the market.
Interested vendors are encouraged to register early, as YMCA booth spaces have historically filled quickly.
Vendors can register online at:

or by calling The Family YMCA at (505) 662-3100. Early registration is encouraged, as booth spaces inside the YMCA have historically filled quickly. Additional satellite vendor locations throughout downtown Los Alamos will also be available through this year’s partnership with Los Alamos MainStreet.
