Wednesdays – Beginner Wheel

Class Schedule:
October 7, 14, 22, 28 @ 6:15-8:15 (the first two classes with wet wheel work will run until 845 to give ample clean-up time)
This class will focus on developing one’s pottery skills on the pottery wheel and is great for beginners and those with some experience. This four-week class will have two weeks of throwing (creating on the pottery wheel) followed by a week of refining one’s pieces, ending with glazing your final pieces. The outcome of this class will be twofold: 1) develop your pottery skills including but not limited to throwing, trimming and glazing your work and 2) up to 5 finished pieces. Finished pieces will be available for pickup 1-2 weeks after the last class.
Open-studio hours will be available for students throughout the first couple of weeks to practice without an instructor before the first firing. These will be announced to students before class starts.
Cost: $200 plus $30 materials fee (covers a bag of clay for each student and associated glaze and firing fees)
Owl Handbuilding Workshop
Instructor: Ellen Mancini (Enchanted Ceramics)

This two-day workshop will focus on developing one’s handbuilding pottery skills such as sculpting and attaching. Students may choose to do an assigned project or work on a project of their choice. Various handbuilding techniques will be utilized with guided assistance.
Cost: $175 (includes $25 materials fee that covers clay, glaze and firing fees)
Oct 12 Youth Clay Camp
Instructor: Aralia (Aralia’s Art Oasis)
Date: Oct 12, 10-4pm
(Ages are flexible!)
5th-8th graders
Join us for a fun day of seasonal pottery making! Turn clay into a masterpiece using hand-building clay techniques. Students will learn techniques such as pinching, coiling and slab construction to create fall-themed pieces such as pumpkins and cats. After lunch, pieces will be painted with glazes. Pieces will be ready for pick-up about a week after class.
Cost: $150 (includes materials and firing fees)
Fall Minis Fundraiser

Class Schedule:

10am – 12pm for parents and children
12:30 – 2:30pm for >14 yrs
Come learn how to make and paint up to 5 fun fall minis! Think ghosts, mushrooms, pumpkins, candy corn… There will be some pre-made options ready to paint as well. This is a great event for littles or older kids with friends! Pieces will be ready for pick-up in about a week.
Cost: $35 per 5 minis.
