Please mark your calendars for Councilor David Reagor’s Townhall Meeting on Thursday, September 17,  6 p.m. at SALA Event Center.  This is an opportunity to meet and greet our 2026 Council Candidates, Jason Chappel and Eric Stromberg.  Pick up a yard sign and find out how you can help!   

Consider recent Council votes: 

• $2.1M for an automated speed enforcement program.  Council voted  5-2 for it.   David Reagor & Beverley Neal Clinton opposed
  
• Plastic Bag Ban narrowly failed due to a 3-3 Council tie vote.  David Reagor opposed.  
• Natural Gas rate increase:  9% to the monthly service charge and a 41% increase to the fixed cost-recovery rate per therm.   Council voted 6-1 for it.  David Reagor opposed.  
• Electric and Sewer rate increase.  Council voted 6-1 for it.  David Reagor opposed.  
• Trinity Road Diet and traffic/construction disaster.  Council voted 6-1 for it.  David Reagor opposed.  
• Gross Receipts Tax increase.  Council voted 6-1 for it.  David Reagor opposed.  Soon afterwards, Council voted 5-1 for big salary raises for County Councilors.  David Reagor opposed.  
• Water Service rate increase:  Council voted 6-1 for it.  David Reagor opposed.  

If you are worried about tax and utility rate increases, the steady decline of goods and services offered in our town, and a County government that caters to a privileged few, we cannot keep voting in the same people and expect different results.   Voting for incumbent Councilors Cull and Hand, as well as former County Manager Steve Lynne guarantees we continue on the same path.   

We must elect new leadership committed to fiscal responsibility, transparency, and accountability with public resources.  We need Councilors who will protect our civil liberties, champion our small business owners and middle-class residents, and prioritize community input for all Council decisions.
