Tony Borek Is Top Predictor In Atomic City Road Runners Weekly Pace Race

Tony Borek was the best predictor in the weekly pace race held on the trail behind the Aquatic Center. He was 3 seconds off his predicted time.  Other accurate predictors were::  Zeke Wilmot with a 7 second differential; Warren Scoggins recording a 17 second difference; Soren Sanders at 19 seconds off; and Tomas Karella coming in with a 29 second differential.

On the 1 mile trail course Ivana Velechovsky was first at 12:21 ant the best male finisher was Ryan Smeltzer with a time of 15:38

.Catherine Hensley was the top finisher on the 1 mile paved course recording a 15:00 time.

In the 5K trail distance Eric Anderson has a 23:30 for first place and the best female was Edith Acosta with a time of 35:48.

Next week’s race will be held on Tuesday, August 25th, 2026 at 6:00 PM and will start at the Kewage Mesa trailhead which is located on North Mesa  by taking San Ildefonso Road from the traffic circle on Diamond Drive North on to North Mesa and taking the left just past the North Mesa Road (soccer field)/San Ildefonso Road junction and driving on the access road in the open field to the end by the playground/tennis courts.  1 mile paved and 1, 2, and 3 mile trail courses will be available.
