The Family YMCA Annual Golf Classic Drives Support For Local Youth Scholarships

The Family YMCA invites golfers, businesses, and community members to tee off for a great cause at the Annual Golf Classic on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Los Alamos Golf Course. The tournament begins with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start and raises funds to provide Youth Scholarships, ensuring local children have access to YMCA programs regardless of financial circumstances.

The annual tournament brings together golfers of all skill levels for a day of friendly competition, community connection, and fun—all while supporting opportunities for youth to learn, grow, and thrive through YMCA programs.

This year’s Golf Classic features exciting activities throughout the course, including:

  • $10,000 Hole-in-One Prize
  • Hole games
  • Great hole prizes
  • NEW! Drone Drive Drop, where a drone delivers your golf ball to a designated landing area for a unique golfing experience
  • Bomb Ball Challenge, giving golfers the opportunity to throw a ball for an extra-long drive and added excitement

Registration is:

  • $100 per player through August 5, 2026 (or until the tournament is full)
  • $110 per player August 6–14, 2026, if space remains available

“The Golf Classic is more than a day on the course—it’s an investment in the future of our community,” said Chris Daniels, CEO of The Family YMCA. “Every golfer, sponsor, and volunteer helps create opportunities for local youth to participate in YMCA programs that build confidence, foster healthy lifestyles, and create lasting connections. Together, we’re helping ensure every child has the chance to learn, grow, and thrive.”

Proceeds from the Golf Classic directly benefit YMCA Youth Scholarships, helping families access programs such as youth sports, summer camp, afterschool care, and other activities that promote youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
