James Zola Is Best Predictor In Atomic City Road Runners Weekly Pace Race

James Zola was the top predictor in the weekly pace race held by the tunnel by the traffic circle between North and Barranca Mesas.  He was 4 seconds off his predicted time.  Other accurate predictors were:  Eliverio Acosta and Warren Scoggins tied at 15 seconds off; Sanna Sevanto recorded  a 19 second differential as well as the first female finisher in the 3 mile race at 30:34; Eric Anderson was 24 seconds off and was the best finisher in the 3 mile distance with a time of 21:54; and Anders Medin and Lukas Zavorka also tied with 42 second difference.

On the 1 mile paved course Felix Candia came in first recording a 12:18 and 7 year old Ximena Stanier was the top female at 13:50.

Lynn Bjorklund was first in the 1 mile trail run at 15:28.

On the 2 mile course Eric Davis had a 22:33 for best finisher and Evgenya Simakov was the top female with a time of 33:18.

Next week’s race will be held on Tuesday, July 14th, 2026 at 6:00 PM and will start at Fireman’s Park which is located at the junction of 45th Street and Arizona Avenue.  1 mile paved and 3 mile hybrid courses will be available.
