County: Concrete Restoration Work Underway at the North Mesa And San Ildefonso Road Roundabout

COUNTY NEWS RELEASE

The Los Alamos County Public Works Department would like to inform the public that concrete restoration at the North Mesa Road and San Ildefonso Road roundabout began Monday. The project is being completed by Franco Construction and is expected to continue through Wednesday, July 15, 2026, weather permitting.

Work will take place between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The project includes the removal and replacement of the mountable curb and driveway pad to restore concrete on the roundabout and improve roadway conditions.

Residents can expect large construction equipment and elevated noise levels. The county will be posting regular updates on the County Cone Zone. Mail delivery, trash and recycling services, school bus routes, public transit, and emergency vehicle access will not be interrupted

This restoration is part of Los Alamos County’s ongoing commitment to maintaining safe, reliable, and accessible roadways. The improvements will help preserve roadway infrastructure, extend pavement life, and enhance the overall condition of the roundabout at North Mesa Road and San Ildefonso Road.
