STEP UP GALLERY NEWS RELEASE

Step Up Gallery echoed with the sounds of happy reunions at the opening reception for
the retrospective of Gloria Sharp’s artful batiks on Saturday, May 16. Long time friends,
former co-workers, and fellow artists turned out in droves to see the batiks and to
reconnect with their dear friend Gloria.

Artist Gloria Sharp has been making art for several decades, and in each of those
decades her art has touched people. She has shown widely in the region, at studio
tours, crafts fairs and art centers, but this is the first large solo show that looks back at
several decades of artwork.

The show is open to the public through June 10 in Step Up Gallery, on the upper level of
Mesa Public Library in Los Alamos.

Step Up Gallery (https://stepupgallery.org) is on the top level of Mesa Public Library at
2400 Central Ave. The gallery is open the same hours as the library: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1-5
p.m. Sunday
