Obituary: Teresa Lynn Burrows Jan. 19, 1956 – April 21, 2026

Teresa Lynn Burrows, a devoted bookkeeper whose commitment to her career spanned many years, passed away on April 21, 2026 at home.

She was born on January 19, 1956, in Troy, Ohio to Robert and Esther Lutz.

Teresa’s life was marked by a blend of pragmatism and a uniquely “warped” sense of humor, especially evident in her eclectic taste in movies. She often reminded her husband, Gordon, that she simply “couldn’t be out-stubborned” due to her German heritage, a testament to her humor but also the strength and resilience that defined her character.

Teresa was a meticulous professional behind the scenes of accounting with a long and respected career in bookkeeping, but also a deeply friendly neighbor and friend.

A lover of the outdoors, Teresa found joy in wildflowers and had a profound affection for animals. Her home was brightened not only by her creative spirit—expressed through her artistic endeavors such as painting rocks—but also by the companionship of her beloved retriever, Penny, and their new kitten, Chip.

An avid reader, Teresa cherished the quiet moments spent lost in books, often accompanied by small tokens of her adoration for Hello Kitty, a reflection of her whimsical side that brought smiles to those around her.

As the youngest of thirteen siblings, Teresa experienced the joys and sorrows of a large family. She was surrounded by the love of her siblings, some of whom have passed, and bore the heartache of having loved and lost many pets throughout her life. Yet, she carried these memories gently, her spirit enriched by each chapter of love and loss.

Her husband of thirty-two years, Gordon Burrows, remains her closest earthly companion and honors her memory with deep respect and affection.

To remember Teresa in a way she would have cherished, Gordon invites all who knew her to spend time outdoors in her honor or to watch one of these favorite films of hers: Fargo, MST3K versions of Godzilla vs. Megalon, or The Giant Spider Invasion (Woo..Packers!) or all three. —a nod to the humor and unique taste that she so often expressed.

Teresa Lynn Burrows will be dearly missed by those who knew her and loved her, a woman whose life was a tapestry woven with humor, love, creativity, and an enduring connection to both family and nature.
