Timothy (Tim) Milligan, age 62, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on January 31, 1964, in Los Alamos, New Mexico, to Donald Milligan and Sally Waters Milligan.
Tim met the love of his life, Tammy, while they were both members of Up With People in Tucson, Arizona. Their connection grew into a lifelong partnership, and they were married in 1988. Together they built a loving family and welcomed their son, James, in 1994, and their daughter, Shelby, in 1999.
Tim’s life was centered around family, friendship, and giving back to others. He dedicated countless years to youth sports, serving as president of Little League and coaching hockey. His passion for mentoring young athletes eventually led him to work with USA Hockey, where he helped teach and develop coaches. He believed deeply in the value of teamwork, discipline, and encouraging others to succeed.
More than anything, Tim was a friend to everyone. He had a gift for making people feel welcome, valued, and supported. His kindness, humor, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Sally, and his brother, Daniel.
Tim is survived by his wife, Tammy; his children, James and Shelby (Zach); his grandchildren, Zachary and Aliyah; his brothers, Michael and Kelly; his sister, Christy; and many extended family members and dear friends.
Tim’s legacy lives on in the family he loved, the countless lives he touched, and the lessons he passed on through sports, friendship, and example. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
