Aurea Rojas was the best predictor in the first pace race opening of the Atomic City Road Runners 52nd season held on the Canyon Rim Trail April 7. She was 4 seconds off her predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Felix Candia recording a 6 second difference; 4 year old Robin Bujack at 8 seconds off; Edith Acosta coming in at 27 seconds off; and tied at 29 seconds was Roxana Bujack who also was the first finisher in the 2 mile distance at 22:03 and Lynn Bjorklund the best 3 mile female finisher with a time of 24:16.
On the 1 mile course 7 year old Ivana Velechovsky was the top finisher coming in at 10:33. The first male was Steve Daly at 11:40.
In the 2 mile distance the best male was Ting Dang recording a 26:21.
Paul Geimer was the top performer on the 3 mile course with a time of 18:50.

Zeke Wilmot was the top predictor in the April 14 weekly pace race held on the Bayo Canyon Road at the the bottom of Main Hill Road at 1 second off his predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Felix Candia with a 3 second difference; Valerio Pinchetti recording 5 seconds off; Eric Anderson at 10 seconds off his prediction; and Lynn Bjorklund with a 12 second difference as well as the first female finisher in the 3 mile distance at 25:57.
11 year old Levi Gartz was the top finisher on the 1 mile course with a time of 8:17 and the best female was 7 year old Ivana Velechovsky recording a 13:06.
In the 2 mile distance Warren Scoggins finished first at 27:56 and Catherine Hensley was the top female coming in at 36:34.
Paul Geimer was the best finisher in the 3 mile distance recording a 20:07.
This week’s race will held on Tuesday, April 21 at 6:00 PM on North Mesa just past the horse stables to the South of the rodeo arena by the rest rooms. 1, 2, and 3 mile courses will be available.
