Google the lyrics to “War Pigs,”
reflect on the current global situation,
then understand why he was shunned,
by the pious and powerful…
hypocrites.

Priest, Rabbis, cult leaders.
All professing a higher power,
just and loving, a guiding light.
Babbling lyrics of hate swaddled
in robes of righteousness.

We condemn those who sing
a tune different than our own.
Even waiting to feel the cleansing,
a breath of nuclear fire.
Self-assured down to ashes.

Created in his own image?
That’s what we tell our children,
while praying for absolution
and a facelift.
