Have you ever seen something that you cannot believe is standing still?

The Los Alamos Arts Council invites artists to celebrate cinema and other forms of movement in the Fuller Lodge Art Center. From drawn motion studies to sculptures of birds in flight to crochet running socks, this exhibit encourages applicants to submit works that evoke motion and/or celebrate the moving image. 

All mediums of art will be considered including: ceramics, painting, photography, stained glass, ceramics, fiber art, practical crafts, and other manners of 2d and 3d art. There is capacity for captioned short films (3-10 min) should exceptional candidates arise. Preference will be given to artists based in New Mexico. About us: LAAC is a 501c3 nonprofit that operates a gallery out of the Fuller Lodge Art Center in downtown Los Alamos, NM. We average roughly 2000 visitors through our doors each month, and display 6-8 exhibits per year along with our year-round artists.

Friday 2/7: Notification of results

Friday-Sunday 2/14-2/16: Delivery of artwork (or by appointment)

Friday 2/21 from 5-7 PM: Opening reception in Fuller Lodge Art Center

Friday 3/21: Exhibit closes
