Proud members of the Los Alamos community watched as Chase Ealey Jackson competed in the Olympic shot put qualifier early Thursday morning. Some folks set their alarms to get up in time for the competition, which was broadcast at 2:30 a.m., while others like the Los Alamos Reporter, just stayed up until it started! Although Chase did not make it into the group of 12 athletes moving on to the finals, what an accomplishment to make it to Paris this year to represent the United States.
