ABIQUIU INN NEWS RELEASE

Abiquiu Inn has launched their 2024 Abiquiu Inn Sculpture Walk & Garden Exhibition celebrating the work of 27 artists. The art is installed in designated areas on the grounds, between the O’Keeffe Welcome Center and the hotel, along the Terrace, in the Sculpture Garden as well as throughout Abiquiu Inn. This year there are 67 incredible pieces by artisans from all over the United States.

The multitalented artists exhibiting this year include Sue Berkey, Kevin Box, Alexander Brown, Kelly Byars, Doug Coffin, Robert Coyle, Francois Guillemin Le Corbeau, Sara D’Alessandro, Julie Deery, Matthew Gonzales, Lisa Gordon, Randolph Holland, Kimberly Holmes, Petro Hul, Brenda Jones, Estella Loretto, Gino Miles, Brad Neighbor, Gerry Newcomb, Fran Nicholson, Somers Randolph, Alexander Rudd, Kirk Seese, Jill Shwaiko, Joe Spear, Patrick Sullivan, Christopher Thomson, and Star York.

In its seventh year, Abiquiu Inn began the Sculpture Walk & Garden in 2017. The idea wasborn when Colin Noble, owner of Abiquiu Inn, and Doug Coffin, artist, shared a conversation. Doug suggested that Abiquiu Inn would be a perfect venue for a sculpture exhibition. Colin was fascinated by the idea and put creative plans into place. With the help of world-renowned sculpture artists (and New Mexico based) Doug Coffin and Star York, together, they created the Abiquiu Inn Sculpture Garden. Colin added a ‘walk” element to give both guests and collectors the experience of an artistic journey.

Since then, the Sculpture Garden has grown exponentially and the number of sculptures for exhibition has passed expectations.

Abiquiu Inn is a 30-room boutique hotel in Abiquiu, NM under the general management of Raelynn LaRue. The restaurant, Café Abiquiu, is under the leadership of Executive Chef, Rey Melton.
