Second Pollinator Demonstration Garden Volunteer Day Is May 18

BEE CITY LOS ALAMOS NEWS RELEASE

Join Bee City Los Alamos and PEEC Nature Center this Saturday, May 18 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. for our 2nd Pollinator Demonstration Garden Volunteer Day. Meet in the open area next to the Betty Ehart Senior Center on Bathtub Row.

Please dress appropriately and bring gloves, eye protection, hat, sunscreen, water bottle and any gardening tools you have. We will be weeding, raking mulch, planting native plants and watering. Los Alamos County Council adopted Resolution 24-02(PDF, 1MB) on January 9 to make commitments to conserve native pollinators and establish our community as a Bee City USA Affiliate. Los Alamos joins 389 city and campus affiliates around the United States who wish to make their communities better places for pollinators.
