The speaker for the Feb. 20 meeting of the Military Order of World Wars will be Capt. Mark Davis, USN (Ret) and Los Alamos National Laboratory Associate Laboratory Director of Weapons Production Chief Operating Officer.

He will discuss the key innovations since the late 18th century that have fundamentally changed warfare, and what that can mean going forward for the U.S. military, especially given the present geopolitical situation.

Captain Davis served as an officer on several submarines eventually serving as Commanding Officer on two boats as well as the Commodore of Task Force Six Nine. His post-command shore tours included serving on the staff of the Combined Joint Task Force, Horn of Africa, in Djibouti, Africa, as the Navy’s Deputy Chief of Legislative Affairs in the Pentagon, and on the staff of the Deputy Secretary to the Department of Energy

The meeting will be held Feb. 20 and will begin with a social period starting at 6:00 pm.
