SALA Screens ‘A Thousand Voices’

A screening of ‘A Thousand Voices’, a Silver Bullet Productions documentary, was held Thursday at the SALA Event Center. It is the inspiring story of the power of Native American women in New Mexico, from the beginning of time through invasions from Spain, Mexico and the United States to the present day. The screening was sponsored by the Los Alamos High School Native American Culture Club and the Los Alamos Public Schools Native American Parent Advisory Council (NAPAC). It was made possible by a grant from the LANL Foundation. Pictured are, from left, Juanita Ingram, Jovita Mowrer, Vice Chair of NAPAC, Julie Dare, LAPS Liaison for Native American Students and Families, and Andrea Determan, LAPS Director of Inclusive Schools.
