Barranca Mesa Elementary PTO Raises $7,200 During Successful Trick Or Trot

BARRANCA PTO NEWS RELEASE

On October 28 the Barranca Mesa Elementary PTO hosted a successful Trick or Trot. The Trick or Trot featured 1 mile and 5K races. The event raised $7,200 for the Barranca Bobcats! More than 150 people came out to race with many competing in amazing costumes including Barbie, Forrest Gump, a Taco, and a couple of cute dinosaurs.  

Winners of the Adult 5K race are: 

1st place Austin Jacobson and Adrienne Hetrick
2nd place Shea Mosby and Holly Walker
3rd place Dan O’Malley and Michelle Certik

Winners in the 5K- 13–17-year-old category were

1st place Marcus Korman and Emmy Smith
2nd place Aiden Alley and Anna Lopez. 

Winners in the 12 and under category are:

1st place Oliver Mosby and Gianna Rolfe,
2nd place Turin Wedel and Emma Mosby
3rd place Brian Scott and Riley Allen. 

Winners of the one mile are: 

1st place Brian Scott and Coral Judd
2nd place Levi Gartz and Lillian Schmidt
3rd place Ronan Parton and Audriana. 

The runners were encouraged to dress up for the race and awards were given to the best costumes in different categories.
