There is a lot going on this month! at Little Studio on the Mesa.
LITTLE STUDIO ON THE MESA AT THE LOS ALAMOS CO-OP MARKET OCT. 14
Los Alamos Co-Op Market has invited us to participate in their Harvest Festival on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Stop by after you are done viewing the eclipse for some fun! Studio employees will be on site at the Co-Op to facilitate paint-your-own-pottery. Items will be brought back to White Rock to be fired and will be ready to pick up within a week. Please note that the White Rock studio will also be open.
Thanks to all who came out last month to the first “After Hours Art Club”! We hope to make this a regular thing. Once again we will be partnering with Dragonfly Playhouse in White Rock to offer childcare for those looking to enjoy some childfree creative time. On Oct. 20, Little Studio will remain open until 9 p.m. and Dragonfly will offer childcare from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Bring your dinner and make a night of it! LITTLE STUDIO ON THE MESA AT PAJARITO MOUNTAIN OKTOBERFEST OCT. 21
We are excited to have been invited to the first Oktoberfest to be held at Pajarito Mountain on Oct. 21 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. PLEASE NOTE: WHITE ROCK STUDIO WILL BE CLOSED ON OCTOBER 21 so that we may attend this event. Paint your own pottery will be available, and perhaps another art project or two!

The studio will be closed on Friday Oct. 27. Instead, look for Joanne as a big inflatable green dinosaur at Trick or Treat on MainStreet!

The studio will be closed Oct. 28 so that Joanne can be a band mom for the day and accompany the Topper Marching Band as they compete at the Zia Marching Band Fiesta at UNM in Albuquerque.

BIRTHDAY PARTIES AT LITTLE STUDIO ON THE MESA
With the weather getting colder, birthday parties are booking up again in the studio. Little Studio on the Mesa is a fantastic place to host an event for any age! Paint your own pottery is the most popular activity, but we can also create a party for you centered around fused glass, clay or canvas. With a variety of games and art supplies to play with once the main activity is done, and space for cake and presents, the studio is the perfect place to create a memorable event. And remember….parties are not only for children! We have hosted going away parties, holiday parties and work events. Contact us to arrange your next event!
PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!
I’ve been practicing on the wheel! I can say that I have passed through the excessive failure and frustration phase and have entered into the “kind of getting the hang of it” phase. I have much more practice ahead, and I am loving playing with clay!
