Explore the geology of Plaza Blanca and tour the red hills captured in Georgia O’Keeffe’s artwork on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 8 a.m. Tickets for this tour are $120 for PEEC members and $140 for non-members.

Spend a day exploring the geology of Georgia O’Keeffe’s “White Place” and Ghost Ranch with PEEC and local geologists Fraser and Cathy Goff. View the rocks of the White Place (aka Plaza Blanca), which consist of white, slightly tilted tuffaceous sediments of the Abiquiu Formation (early Miocene – late Oligocene) that is roughly 25 million years old.
