
Wenona Kay Westerhold passed away September 16 with her loving family close by her side. Family was very important to her. She lived a life centered around her daughter Elyssa, her grandchildren Jada and Cameron, and her many friends. She loved being a Nana. Whether it was cooking with Jada or watching National Geographic specials with Cameron, she was always available. She got great joy from everyday things like grocery shopping with Elyssa or watching football with family and friends. You could always count on Wenona to show up with her huge smile and contagious laugh. People were drawn to her larger-than-life personality and her great sense of humor. She was thoughtful and generous to others and was always ready to help those in need.
Wenona lived her life the way she wanted, never apologizing for being the genuine person that she was. Her love and energy will continue to live on in the lives of those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her parents Nancy Strain and Steve Westerhold, her daughter Elyssa Westerhold and son-in-law Chase Furgason, grandchildren Jada and Cameron Green, her significant other Jason Taylor, her siblings Patrick Westerhold (Lupe), Carrie Loy (Barry), Jeremy Hansen, Ryan Westerhold, and Audria Trimble (Sam), her grandmother Shirleen Westerhold, aunt Shari Jaramillo, aunt Gina Cushing, stepmom Lucille Chavez, nephews Nathan (Hope), Thomas (Natalie), nieces Darian, Caylie, Amiah, Aaliyah, Aarial, great-nephews Felix, Levi, Emerson, great-niece Grace, Marna Riedel, her sister from another mister, plus many cousins and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents Thomas and Barbara Jones, Gene Westerhold, dad Keith Strain, uncles Rick Jaramillo and Bill Cushing, and Abad Chavez.
