County: Albuquerque Asphalt Mobilizing To Start Work On Loma Linda Road Improvements Project

COUNTY NEWS RELEASE

Los Alamos County Public Works Division is under contract with Albuquerque Asphalt, Inc to start work on the Loma Linda Roadway Improvements project on La Mirada Circle, La Tierra Road and Loma Linda Drive in the Loma Linda neighborhood.

The contractor is performing preliminary work such as mobilization, construction staking, and staging area setup. This work will be in preparation to start construction work activities soon after. The project scope was presented to the public at the regularly scheduled Transportation Board held in June.

Hours of Construction:
Albuquerque Asphalt, Inc. will work from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Traffic Impact:
To minimize disruption, Albuquerque Asphalt, Inc crews will notify and coordinate with affected residents on certain construction logistics, such as parking restrictions. They will also ensure ingress and egress to residents’ homes as much as possible and coordinate driveway apron reconstruction. In addition, services such as mail delivery, trash and recycling collection, school bus, and emergency services will always be maintained.

Residents can expect large equipment, and construction noise. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to use caution around construction activities and avoid entering the work zone.
