Friday night’s Los Alamos Summer Concert Series ScienceFest celebration presents Shamarr Allen in his third appearance at Ashley Pond Park in the last five years. Considered by many to be the world’s greatest trumpeter, Allen, who hails from New Orleans brings the true spirit of Mardi Gras with traditional jazz greatest hits mixed with contemporary renditions of everyone from Adele to Jackson 5 to Nirvana. Tonight’s concert begins with Sax Atomix at 6 p.m., Santa Fe Youth Symphony Association Youth/Adult Jazz Ensemble at 6:45 p.m. and Shamarr Allen at 8 p.m.
