Los Alamos Visiting Nurse Service (LAVNS) is excited to announce its 50th anniversary on Saturday, June 3. Founded in 1973 by Sarah Rochester, LAVNS has been providing high-quality in-home skilled nursing care, hospice care, wound care, and physical therapy services to patients in Los Alamos and the surrounding counties for half a century.
Over the past 50 years, LAVNS has become a trusted name in the healthcare industry, thanks to its dedicated staff and commitment to patient care. The organization has grown from a small team of nurses to a full-service home healthcare agency with a wide range of services that are tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.
To celebrate this milestone, LAVNS will be honored with a special ribbon-cutting event by the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce at Chamber Fest at noon on Saturday, June 3. The organization is also planning to launch a new website and social media campaign to raise awareness about its services and mission.
As we reflect on the past 50 years, we are grateful for the support of our patients, their families, and the community. We look forward to continuing to serve the needs of Los Alamos and the surrounding counties for many years to come.
