LA Cares
LA Cares, our local food pantry, would like to extend a huge thank you to the residents of Los
Alamos County, Letter Carriers, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and many other volunteers. You all
were instrumental in the success of the May 13 Food Drive!
We collected over 3,750 pounds of canned goods, enough to stock our pantry for several months. Also, monetary donations will help purchase fresh produce in June and July, as well as help with rent and utility assistance.
LA Cares is a totally volunteer organization, supported solely by the generosity of the people of
Los Alamos, through churches, schools, businesses and individuals. Without your continued
support, we would not be able to reach out to the 90+ families each month at the food
distribution, nor could we assist the many families with rent and utility payments. Every
donation stays in Los Alamos County.
LA Cares is an equal opportunity provider, and we are proud to be of service to those who are
in need in our community.
