Los Alamos High School graduating senior Carley Holland will attend Eastern New Mexico University this fall and she plans to major in Theatre Arts. She was blessed to receive theatre and academic scholarships to attend ENMU. She was a member of National Honor Society and a dedicated athlete at LAHS.

Since 7th grade Carley has had a passion for theatre and film. While living abroad in Germany as a military child, she loved performing on stage in plays and other productions for her middle school drama class. Mrs. Nipper, her middle school drama teacher, instilled in her a passion and love for theatre arts.

While in high school Carley devoted her time to being a multi sport varsity athlete and playing the trumpet in band. Before moving to Los Alamos her junior year Carley attended Randall High School in Amarillo, TX where she participated in marching band, basketball and track. After moving to Los Alamos she competed in soccer, basketball and track and she had the opportunity to be part of district champion teams for all three sports. She feels particularly blessed to have been part of the legacy of being a state champion in track and field at LAHS. She is grateful for the amazing experiences sports and extracurriculars have afforded her.

Carley’s favorite high school memories are competing with her sister Allie in soccer and track and all the wonderful experiences she shared with her teammates and friends. Carley is grateful for the teachers, coaches and other mentors who have inspired her and guided her along the way. Her parents, sisters and family have been her cheerleaders and she is thankful for their continued love and support.

Carley is the daughter of Lita and Kent Holland, the sister of Bailey and Allie Holland and the granddaughter of Lana Holland, Cynthia Staples and Manuel Echave.
