On Saturday, May 27, members of the Los Alamos High School Class of 2023 will be receiving their high school diplomas. Staff have already begun preparing for the graduation ceremony which will be held outdoors at Sullivan Field. 

Sullivan Field and the track will be closed Thursday, May 24 through Tuesday, May 30 for graduation preparations and ceremonies, and will be fully closed to the public following graduation to accommodate the removal of the existing turf and the reinstallation of new turf. 

Graduation festivities will continue following graduation with members of the Class of 2023 taking a victory lap on Canyon Road and Central Avenue. This is a new route from last year. Local traffic will not be blocked for this event with the exception of leaving campus and turning onto Canyon. Spectators can line both sides of the road and park in designated parking areas to watch. 

The activities continue as graduates and one guest are invited to Senior Appreciation Night starting at 6 pm. A Los Alamos tradition since 1984, SAN is sponsored by Los Alamos businesses and organizations, and features games, music, a carnival, photos, skating, climbing, a movie, and prizes.
