On Monday, April 17, 2023, Ivar Lindstrom, loving husband, father of two children, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, passed away at the age of 93.

 Ivar was born in October of 1929 in Milligan, Nebraska to Ivar and Merrill Lindstrom. He married Allene Huffman in 1952 while attending the University of Oregon. He was awarded his PhD from the University of Oregon in 1958 and then moved to Los Alamos to work with the Labs.

Ivar and Allene raised their two children in Los Alamos, sharing a sense of adventure in skiing and camping around the Southwest.  He was a life long member of the Los Alamos Choral Society, Pajarito Ski Club, and Old-Timers Square Dance Club.  He was a strong supporter of the Los Alamos Concert Association and enjoyed the concerts for many years as an important part of his love of music. In his later years, he was the bass singer of the barbershop quartet, Lads of Enchantment. 

Ivar is survived by his wife, Allene, two daughters, Teri and Lori, Teri’s husband, Rex Molisani, two grandsons, Matthew and Jason, granddaughter, Allee, Matthew’s wife, Jessica, and great-granddaughter, Olivia.
