We are expecting snow through the night tonight. With the freezing temperatures and standing water from today, we know that ice will be a problem tomorrow. Safety is always our top priority
Los Alamos Public Schools will be on a 2 hour delay tomorrow, Feb. 15 to allow crews time to clear the snow and ice from campus parking lots and sidewalks to ensure student and staff safety. We cannot complete that task before 7:30 a.m. for a regular start.
Because it is Wednesday, all elementary classes, including PreK, will be canceled including before and after school clubs and activities. YMCA childcare will begin at 12:00 p.m. at all school sites. All evening activities will continue as planned. All staff should report to campuses 2 hours after their normal starting time.
The Los Alamos Middle School, Los Alamos High School and Los Alamos Middle School will be on a 2 hour delay. Buses will arrive at their usual stops 2 hours later. Activities and sports after 10:00 will continue as planned. Please travel safely.
