COUNTY NEWS RELEASE
Los Alamos utility customers may receive delayed bills for October. An issue with a third-party vendor who prints and mails the monthly bills was discovered by Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities (DPU) staff this week. That issue caused bills dated from October 12 forward to be omitted from the vendor’s mailing distribution.
DPU’s Billing and Service Specialists who run the Customer Care Center are printing the omitted bills on site and will mail them on Wednesday. Because bills are not typically mailed from Los Alamos, staff is not equipped to include return envelopes. DPU staff apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause. No late fees or penalties will be charged to customers affected by this mailing delay.
Those customers that receive their bills by email–known as eBilling–were not affected by this issue. Customers are encouraged to sign up for eBilling by contacting the Customer Care Center. Bills are viewable online at ladpu.com/Utilities-Portal .
Any customers wishing to inquire about their account balances should also contact the Customer Care Center. Contact information can be found below. To make payments over the phone, customers may call 1-866-417-0694. To make online payments, customers may visit ladpu.com/paymentus .
