
Come and strut your horsemanship at the Los Alamos County Horse Exhibition at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20 at Brewer Arena. This event is for all riders to showcase their horse and equestrian talents in Western and English styles. Winners receive prizes such as: t-shirts, buckles, and ribbons.
Registration deadline is Aug. 17 and Registration Form: https://tinyurl.com/LACHorseExpo. Entry fee is $5/youth class entry and $8/adult class entry. Admission for spectators is free.
Age groups are:
Youth: 9 & under, 10 – 13, 14 – 18
Adult: 19 & up

All classes can be ridden in English/Dressage or Western Tack. Speed events may be ridden with tie-downs and mechanical hackamores or gag bits—All other classes cannot use tie-downs, mechanical hackamores, or gag (draw) bits.
Riders must wear boots with heels, long-sleeved shirts, and jeans or breeches. – cowboy hats or helmets are optional for 18 and over, but helmets are required in all classes for under18 (except speed events). Spurs are optional in all classes. Whips are optional on Speed Events but may not be used in other classes.
