Los Alamos County Development Department (CDD) and its consultant, Dekker/Perich/Sabatini (DPS), encourage the public to participate in a virtual open house on Tuesday, Aug. 2, at 5:30 p.m. to learn about and provide feedback on proposed changes to the Chapter 16, Module 3 development code. Interested members of the public may join the meeting using this Zoom link.
The draft Chapter 16, Module 3 development code was released on July 18 and is available online at https://losalamosconnect.org/. The development code defines how a property in specific geographic zones within the county can be used and developed. In addition, Module 3 focuses explicitly on reorganizing and streamlining administration, enforcement and procedures content.
After Tuesday’s public meeting, the draft Module 3 will be presented to Planning and Zoning Commission meeting held virtually on Aug. 10 at 5:30 p.m. Interested community members can join using the following Zoom link. Councilors will receive a presentation from CDD and DPS representatives at the Aug. 23 hybrid Council Work Session held at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers, 1000 Central Ave., Los Alamos for the in-person public, and the virtual public can attend using the following Zoom link.

CDD and DPS representatives will incorporate pertinent input from councilors, commissioners, and community members into a final ordinance. The final ordinance will return to Council in November to be considered for adoption.
