Smeltzer Is Best Predictor In Weekly Pace Race

Ryan Smeltzer was the top predictor in the weekly pace race held on Burnt Mesa Trail in Bandelier National Monument with a 17 second differential.  Other accurate predictors were:  Ted Williams at 20 seconds off; Ted Atkins, Senior with a difference of of 30 seconds; Valerio Pinchetti recording a 34 second difference; and Anders Medin at 36 seconds off.

On the 1 mile course 11 year old Adrian Medin was the fastest finisher at 8:27 and Priscila Rosa was the best female with a time of 9:48.

Paul Geimer was the top finisher in the 3 mile distance at 19:03 and Maddie Harms recorded a 29:48 for first female.

Next week’s race will be held on Tuesday, July 5th, 2021 at 6:00 PM at American Springs Road up in the Jemez which can be gotten to by taking West Jemez (New Mexico State Route # 501) South to the “Back Gate” (the junction of West Jemez Road/Route # 501 and New Mexico State Route # 4) taking a right and heading Westbound on State Route # 4 up into the Jemez approximately 1.6 miles on the right to American Springs Road parking area.
