Los Alamos High School teachers Lori Thompson and Isabel Duque are seeking the community’s help with this years’ prom, which is slated for 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, April 30 in the Tewa Ballroom at Buffalo Thunder Resort.

The theme, Garden Gala, was picked by the seniors and the event will include dinner and dessert, a DJ, coronation of the prince/princess and king/queem as well as a photo booth with printed photo strips. a candy station, coat/purse check, a veranda and of course lots of flowers and lights for decorations. The Topper car will also be there.

“We need help from the community. The normal fundraising did not happen the last couple of years due to COVID. Our list of needs includes white spray paint, bags of cement, materials to build 8-10 wooden boxes, and help to build the boxes,” Thompson said. 

Many items on the online wish are related to decorating the ballroom and providing treat and novelties for the event.
