Karen Wray Gallery Winter 2021 Group Art Exhibition Opens Friday, Runs Through Jan. 7, 2022

The Karen Wray Gallery is excited to present our Winter 2021 Group Art Exhibition, November 19, 2021 through January 7, 2022. Please join us for the Opening Reception on Friday, November 19 from 4:30-6:30pm!

As the afternoon shadows grow long and the sun casts its orange glow over everything in its path, fall begins its transition towards winter.  The image we chose for this year’s Winter Exhibition beautifully depicts a sunny winter’s day in Santa Fe, entitled “New Snow” 18”x24” oil on canvas by artist Ruth Valerio. The gorgeous lavenders, blues, pinks, and aquas in the cool shadows complement the warm golds, oranges, and corals in the sunlit areas and reflected light.

For great affordable gift ideas, check out the new Winter Collection by Tamara Massong:  ceramic bowls, plates, and her signature “cutie bowls” decorated with snowflakes, stars, snow people, and reindeer, plus her popular atom bowls; Alice Slemmons’s new black kiln glass channel dishes with colorful accents, striking black iridescent dishes, and her ever popular glass bear ornaments or pendants. Artist Annmarie Thomas has been busy painting her colorful small watercolor paintings, matted or framed, that would make perfect gifts!

For that very special gift or as a treat for yourself, we have stunning original paintings in oil, watercolors, colored pencils, and acrylics by 18 accomplished artists; ceramics and wooden show ships (sabateau) by Marc Hudson, ceramic vases, plates and bowls, plus ceramic spirit animals by Michael and Sandra Kadisak; ceramics by Lisa McEneaney and Cheryl Hoagland, amazing turned wood pieces by Anthony Ortiz, pens/pencils in turned wood and acrylic by Tom Petersen, beautiful veriglo glass-topped tables by Donato Spitzer, whimsical metal and rock sculptures by David A. Trujillo, and photography by Art Larsen and TK Thompson!

Don’t miss our Opening Reception:  Friday, November 19, from 4:30-6:30pm! This exhibition continues through January 7. The Karen Wray Gallery is located at 1247 Central Avenue, Suite D-2 in Los Alamos. We’re open Mon-Fri 11-4 and Sat 10-4.
