Los Alamos Medical Center CEO John Whiteside is leaving the hospital and transferring to another SageWest Health Care, another LifePoint system in Fremont County, Wyoming effective Dec. 6. A national search for his replacement is underway.
The announcement was made to LAMC staff and volunteers by Sandra Podley, LifePoint’s Western Division President in an email. Whiteside has served at LAMC since 2016.
Prior to joining LAMC, Whiteside was chief operating officer at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Eunice, Louisiana and assistant administrator at Putnam Community Medical Center in Palatka, Florida. He is a 10-year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He holds master’s degrees in healthcare administration and business management from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, and Leo University in St. Leo, Florida.
Whiteside declined to comment on his departure.
